Coffinshaker is a flashy, fiery colt. Though he may be quiet and stoic in the stall and in the pasture, he's full of grit and guts once he's set loose on the track. This is where he shows his true colours; leaving his exercise partners in the dust with ease. He loves to show off, gaining confidence from the noise and attention of the crowd. One quirk that this colt has is that he absolutely hates baths. Whenever he is subjected to one, he constantly squirms and complains. Nobody is sure why this is. It can't be the water because he also has a habit of playing with any bucket of water that is left in his stall and ultimately knocking it over, splashing it all over his legs!

Shaker pulls hard to get to the lead. He demands it - craves it, even. Though he has the discipline to hold himself back when asked (a very useful trait, considering the distances that he runs), he is at his very best when he is leading the pack and setting the pace himself. Challengers can upset Coffinshaker's pace. He has a habit of trying to act on impulse and instantly outrun them when they appear. It has taken a lot of training to curb this behaviour. Now, he continues to listen to his jockey, but still foams at the mouth to take on his challenger - a trait that is used to his advantage as he approaches the final stretch and is finally let loose. Here, the colt uses every last ounce of energy and stamina he has to try and take the win for himself. Coffinshaker is a flashy, fiery colt.
