Saxon is not as gentle as his parents; instead he has an aura of fierce determination and willpower. This is a colt who walks with his head held high, his dark eyes taking in the world around him, and is always thinking. While not outwardly violent he is no pushover, it takes a strong but fair hand to work with him, and if he doesn't like a person you will certainly know about it. He has to be turned out alone as he constantly pushes other horses and has a tendency to be a bit of a bully. However, he does have a fondness for other pets. It is not uncommon to see the barn cat on his door or even to see the colt watching as it parades off.

Saxon is a cool presence in the parade ring, but he is already watching - weighing up his competition before they even head to the gates. He loads with ease, doesn't fuss in the chute, and breaks at an average pace when the gates finally open. Here, instead of rushing forwards the colt allows himself to drop back and survey the others, never letting the field get too far away as he bides his time before letting his savage closing speed loose in the final furlongs. Once Saxon starts his move there is no stopping him. He has a near insurmountable desire to get his head in front, to show the other horses who is boss, and he will never forget a horse who he has lost to.
