This siren is a minx, through and through. Her mood is very much like the unpredictable nature of the ocean. Some days, she can be as sweet as pie, nickering and luring you in to give her affection and then other days she can be as uncooperative as a stubborn mule. Like her mother before her, this is a filly that will always respond better to praise than physical manhandling. If she feels like she's being bullied around, she will just completely balk and shut down. This is an intelligent gal and as such, she requires her handler to think of different approaches in training to get her calculating mind on board and to feel like she's the one contributing to the 'grand ideas'. Fickle and vivacious, she certainly has the spirit and charisma that lures you in and what you find when you get close to her is a surprise. That's our Siren for you.
Siren prefers to get down to business. She runs at the front and likes to have the control of setting the pace. She'll coast there for the duration of the race on cruise control. She's not the kind to be easily manipulated by the pushy pack behind her and once the final furlongs are in sight, she's just itching for someone to try and take the lead from her. That's when she soars, two furlongs to go and kicking things into another level to leave her competition in her dust while she gets praised all the way by her rider and of course - the winner's circle.
