Sully is a cheeky, energetic colt who has quickly become a favorite around the barn for his playful antics and is quite well known for his attraction to baseball caps which he has a habit of stealing from unsuspecting heads - although he's always willing to trade it back for a carrot. In the pasture, you can guarantee he is going to find the muddiest patch and roll right there the moment he is released, giving the groom with a 'what you going to do about it' kind of look before heading off to graze and enjoy the freedom. Sully has lovely, strong movements and a sure head on his shoulders. Nothing fazes him, if anything becoming bolder in more challenging situations, and always seems to get the job done.
This colt breaks with all cylinders burning, powering up the track with the speed and tenacity known so well in his family line, and setting himself in the front part of the field - either in the lead, or tucked just behind the front runners. Then he waits, matching the pace of any leaders or setting a decent speed without burning through fractions. It is in the closing stages he truly comes into his own. He is a potent mix of speed and stamina and he doesn't give in. When the time comes, he can throw himself up to another gear and then he can hold it - ground-eating long strides carrying him up the stretch, refusing to give an inch and always seeming to find more when contested.
