Chase is a challenging colt, with all the confidence of a champion and the patience of a toddler. To work with him you have to be willing to adapt, but firm enough to put him in line when he oversteps his boundaries which he likes to push, frequently, just to test what he can get away with. With correct handling, however, another side will shine through - an intelligent and quick-learning youngster with a strong competitive kick and a great deal of courage. Nothing can deter him once he is focused on the task ahead of him - the trick is in getting him there and often this takes the presence of another horse to work alongside him.

Chase is one of those horses that is quick out of the gate, surging forwards and quickly finding his hooves to take a lead in most situations, liking to put space between himself and the next horse but can be convinced to drop back in a front-heavy race to sit behind the leaders and wait. When it comes to the final push, this boy always seems able to find an extra gear. He has plenty of stamina and the heart of a lion - never backing down, never giving up as he fights to hold (or take) the lead. Put him side by side with another horse when driven and he will give everything he has.
