Nyx is what some might call hot tempered. She is stunning to behold, a bay beauty with a dished face, but it would be wishful thinking to assume that her ethereal beauty goes beyond being skin deep. She is without a doubt her mother's daughter in the temperament department. Her stunning looks can draw you in, only to have you repelled by her vindictive nature. She cares to not have her space intruded by strangers without her consent. In other words, she's a haughty and condescending filly. She seems to have inherited her mother's natural disdain for other horses, but not so much to the same extremes. She can tolerate Lawless, oddly enough, but that's mainly because the dark bay filly doesn't seem to care for interaction as much either and so the two exist in this oddly companionable silence.

Nyx is for all intents and purposes your typical thoroughbred. High strung, self-absorbed and wanting things done on her own terms and so it takes an infinite amount of patience to win her over, but once you have her trust, you can then presume some liberties, but that doesn't mean she will always be accommodating. She has a strong competitive drive and that comes in handy when it comes to the task that she was bred for and that is racing. On the racing tracks Nyx is a fearsome sight to behold. Her natural drive to dominate makes her more than determined on the tracks. She prefers her space, that much doesn't change, but there comes to be an almost eerie like quality to her when she's focused on the prize. She has no issues being vocal about issuing her challenges to the other horses, but she settles down quite nicely once the gates are in sight. Once in the gate, Nyx is like a silent wraith and then once opened all hell is unleashed. She's like a shadow, instantly on her target and stalking them until the final moments when her competitive drive demands she move - and then move she does. Right into the winner's circle. Depending on the field and the day, she is more than comfortable in the lead, but she is a cruel mistress.​
