Standing at 16.3hh with a bright chestnut coat and a flashy white blaze, Veracious is certainly an eye-catching filly and she knows it, strutting around like she owns the ground she walks on. She's typically a friendly girl, with a penchant for peppermint, but has that sassy chestnut attitude. Things have to be just right, or she is going to make hell break loose. Veracious is typically eager to work, and while lightly raced when she arrived at Golden Valley Racing will likely race for several seasons.
Veracious enjoys her work, and it shows on the track. She shows off in the parade ring but is matter of fact once she is on the track.
When she arrived, she did have issues with the gate, but after some work is now comfortable to enter without issue and breaks fast and smooth at the start of the race, quickly settling into her stride.
Veracious likes to run behind the leaders, often running on their outer flank in smaller fields but has been known to run a little further back in fields with larger front groups as she doesn't like to be too crowded. In the backstretch, this girl has a real kick and will fight to take the win.
