Typically one of the quieter horses in the barn, Piper doesn't seem like too much at first glance. She has gorgeous conformation and a striking black coloring, but otherwise doesn't stand out. But then you see her move, and the brilliance of what she can do is revealed for all to see. Piper epitomizes quiet brilliance. She keeps to herself, socializes almost grudgingly with other horses, and loves to interact with humans. She doesn't beg for treats or attention like other horses do, but is more than happy to get a pat on the neck or a rub on the forelock as a result of just being present. She is tall, built like a colt, and has a stunning way of moving that is powerful and eye-catching. Piper is typically willing to please and rarely puts up a fuss. She can be quite affectionate and incredibly patient. Around the barn, she is fairly easy to handle and typically does not give problems to her handlers. The buried heat of Piper's personality typically reveals itself on the track, though off of it she is easy to be around and picks up on things quickly.

Piper is a high-energy horse on the track, typically requiring a pony in order to stay calm and focused on the task at hand. While off the track she is easy to handle, on the track she is completely different. She sweats up before races and relies heavily on her rider to keep her calm. Though she loads fairly easily, the minute the gates open Piper hangs back, letting the pace fire up and content to run along at the back until she's well and ready to go. She hugs the rail for the entire race and typically doesn't concern herself with the other horses. In the stretch is where Piper shines, digging deep and exploding forward like a hurricane-force wind to strive for the lead. She saves all of her energy for the last three furlongs of the race, leaving it all on the track as she shoots to get to the wire first. She has power in the stretch that is reminiscent of her sire, but also like him her finishes can be quite hairy if she doesn't time her move appropriately. Regardless, few have the speed or acceleration to rival hers in the closing stages of any race.
