With an arrogant sire and a confident dam and both being incredibly classy animals, it wasn't surprising to discover that Nat was a self-assured spitfire with class for ages. She has an intelligent look to her that seems to indicate she's thinking or plotting something. This can be deceptive, though, as sometimes it just looks as though Nat is calm and existing; however, this can change quickly depending on her mood. Nat is never unprepared for any situation and always seems ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. This is a filly that cannot be taken lightly; she can be rough, tough, and quite mean when she's having a bad day, or completely easy to handle and sweet when not. Nat is a really territorial filly and those approaching her stall or her paddock need to be well aware of that if they want to escape the encounter unscathed. Nat typically requires multiple handlers at a time because of her attitude; if there's even one less handler than usual when she's out and about, Nat will use her intelligence to take full advantage of the situation. Nat is a quick mover who loves to run, hence why she doesn't take restriction well and is constantly on the hunt for ways to further liberate herself, whether that be a stall breakout or a clever paddock exit that leaves her free to wander the grounds at will.

Nat is generally well-behaved on the track. She may bite her pony's neck place, but otherwise she is fairly easy to handle and always appears confident. She never seems antsy or worked up, hence why she attracts good attention in a field full of tense horses. She might trot and prance a bit, but it's all well in hand with her rider's commands. Nat is a quiet gater, eager for the show to begin and to be allowed to run. She breaks and runs towards the front, often taking a spot right off the leaders and ensuring she's never further than three lengths from the lead at any given time. Nat waits for the right moment in the race to swarm her competition and is the type to absolutely demolish them when asked. Nat is the kind of horse who accelerates like a sprinter; one second she's three lengths off, the next she's actually two lengths in front and pulling away. She swarms the front runners, displaying a turn of foot rarely seen and that always causes jaws to drop. Nat doesn't wait for the closers to catch up to her before accelerating again and fighting for the win; once she's given the cue, she accelerates and just keeps going, pulling away to open length wins just because she can and she loves to. Nat feels her freest on the lead with none next to her, and we think that's why she seeks the win with all her heart on the track.
